Q: What cutting parameters are recommended for PCD milling inserts in aluminum alloy face milling?
A: For PCD face milling of aluminum alloys (A380/A390 Al-Si) with SEHT or APKT series inserts:

A: PCD and CBN milling inserts are grade-specific for material group and are not interchangeable in application, even if they fit the same cutter body geometry.
Use PCD for: all non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, brass), all composites (CFRP, GFRP), graphite, and ceramics.
Use CBN for: all ferrous metals (hardened steel, cast iron, PM parts).
